About the Event
From the Dolce & Gabbana fridge and house appliances for SMEG to the Fendi chair and Hermès interior products line, product, interior, industrial, fashion, and jewellery designers have been (over) stepping into the world of interior products and homeware design for many years. Philippe Starck, Karim Rashid, Jonathan Addler, have built successful and commercially viable design empires by designing a wide range of designs, including everything from interior design to furniture to boats to watches to bedding collections and lemon squeezers.
Not long ago, the majority of designers would want to stick to their lanes of expertise. Still, now we're seeing that they are less reluctant to apply their design thinking and skills across different sectors. Designers are now more than ever challenging themselves to offer functional solutions and designs that go beyond pretty, quirky and funky.
Join us for this webinar where regional industry experts will share their design journeys, past experiences and explorations of stepping out of their comfort zone, as well as their future aspirations and inspirations. They will help us demystify design and understand what it means to be a designer in 2020.
